Dirish’s Yoga Journey
Working in Fashion and Design was one of the most stressful times of my life! The only thing I turned to help me were stimulants, and even that was soul damaging stress. This caused to me to lose hair and become heavily stressed in my mind and body. I had to take three months off to return back to feeling myself again. It was through my travels in Asia that my curiosity and my yearn for balance and peace that I discovered Yoga, Meditation and Nutrition.
My travels helped me to alter my lifestyle so I could back out into the world with a new, vibrant attitude. Through my continued yoga journey of transformation, I have been inspired by many teachers and mentors who have helped me to empower myself and develop a consistent way of staying balanced and centred.
Today I help to empower my clients to deal head on with stress and anxiety to release, relax and rejuvenate. This has created opportunities which have allowed me to share my wealth of knowledge through my international retreats throughout the United Kingdom, India, Bali and Greece.
As of 5th September 2017, I will be teaching a Yin and Meditation class at Eve & Grace every Tuesday at 19:45 PM, book your place today. This is a quiet, slow and meditative class, with a focus on the hips, pelvis and lower spine, all supported by the earth using props and variations to allow the body to open up and the mind to still. By holding postures for an extended period, the connective tissue is stimulated and joints are nourished. Yin is open to all levels and is a great way to bring balance to your dynamic yoga practice. Yin sessions conclude with a seated meditation to leave you feeling grounded and restored.
